The SurePower utalizes a system called PowerCell which is an aggregrate dataset of electricity users in an affected area, made possible after the completion of an innovative survey using mobile technology. which in turn determines the exact location of the consumer with their mobile set, at the time power disruption.
This dataset provides intelligence on exactly who will be impacted at all times prior to the planned loadshedding. It is important to note that good demand side management of electricity during peak demand hours of the day will reduce the wasteful excess generators and fuel, in turn reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
SurePower service will empower the Utility Distributor to have a rapid response system to effectively manage the utility crisis, this system can also be an effective tool for other services such as: gas and water reticulation, especially during times of Health / disease outbreaks , Telecommunication, Road service disruptions and natural disasters like Tsunami Flooding and Hurricanes.
