Innovative Power Distributor Outage advice service
The biggest Power Distribution utility in South Africa, has launched a world first information service to provide electricity users with Cellphone advices when power outages are expected.
Johannesburg’s City Power will inform residents in the region through SMS when power outages happen.
By providing the free SMS service, users are effectively empowered to make demand side arrangements to use alternative electricity sources and experience the best reliable electricity supply cost effectively and at the same time avoid unnecessary conquential finacial losses.
The service solution was given to City Power a year before implementation by Pieter Henning, the innovator of the total mobile solution called SurePower.
With a well-sourced database, a more complete SurePower Service can be implemented in future.
